Over three years ago, Annette and John met in Costa Rica — and both fell in love: first with each other, and then with Esterillos Oeste, a place that felt instantly like home. Nestled between jungle and ocean, they built a life surrounded by their growing pack of three dogs and a cat (for now!).

Their days are filled with beach rides on their quad, surfing, fishing, or watching their dogs chase crabs at sunset. When the urge to explore strikes, they wander up and down the coast in search of waterfalls, jungle trails, and tucked-away local gems — adventures they love to share with everyone who visits.
